Syn-Epi(+,X) and T.E.R.
Syn-Epi(+,X) is proud to be partner of the European programme T.E.R. (Traduire, Editer, Représenter) on the invitation of Laurent Muhleisen, director of Maison Antoine Vitez and dramaturg of Comédie Française. T.E.R. network was formed and established under the belief that, to ensure an unhindered circulation of contemporary playwriting in Europe it is necessary to establish the collaboration of theoreticians, professionals of the stage, translators, linguists, directors and people of the theater in general.
In this context Syn-Epi(+,X) will focus on researching and translating plays that deal with the transcription of classical texts to contemporary form, keeping as a guiding line of choice high artistic standards and smaller cast. In particular, this two-year project specialised in transcriptions of ancient fables and traditions, ancient Greek comedy and tragedy, Roman theatre as well as in transcriptions of work of classic European tradition, that is to say plays written from 15th until the 20th century.
The program takes place under the aegis of European Union.
